13 stolen works of art, reimagined
Saturday marks the 33rd anniversary of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist. And while the 13 stolen artworks have not been found, a group of artists have managed to bring them back to life — with a twist.

Edgar Degas’ “La Sortie De Pesage”
Original painting by Edgar Degas’ titled “La Sortie De Pesage” was one of 13 artowks stolen from the Gardener Museum on March 18, 1990. Originally purchased by Isabella Stewart Gardner at auction from Galerie Georges Petit, Paris in July 1919 for 2,750 francs for two drawings. The artwork, created with pen and watercolor on paper, has never resurfaced.

Blake's rendition of “La Sortie De Pesage”
While the original painting is very small, measuring 6 x 4 inches, Blake decided to go BIG and painted his version at 36 x 60 inches, using spray paint on canvas. The original painting is curretnly hanging in Grandma’s cottage at Hideaway Ranch.
